Slack Ma Girdle 1L

We’ve crafted our 2021 Slack Ma Girdle using a blend of over 50 cider apple varieties, sourced from our very own orchard here at our cidery in Hawke’s Bay and from another small orchard in Canterbury.

The cider was pressed and then transferred without clarification into old wine barrels. After a 5 week wild fermentation the cider was aged on lees for a further 6 months before racking and bottling.

Our 2021 Slack Ma Girdle is a full bodied, dry cider with a deep amber hue. This cider has ripe apple and tropical fruit notes on the nose with spice and a firm, challenging tannin structure on the palate, making it a great cider to pair with food. We think this one is particularly tasty alongside strong or creamy cheeses. 

It will drink well now or cellar for several years.
